George Romey House

The George Romey House, also known as the Bruce Girton House, is a historic Prairie School-style building located in Mason City, Iowa. Designed by architect Fred Lippert and constructed in 1920, this two-story brick house showcases distinctive features such as wide eaves, a broad hip roof, and groups of casement windows. Originally owned by local realtor George A. Romey, it later became the residence of Bruce Girton, who ran a family feed business. The house was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
