Junípero Serra Museum (Presidio Park)

The Junípero Serra Museum sits atop Presidio Hill and was designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style by architect William Templeton Johnson; the building was completed in the late 1920s. The museum commemorates the 1769 Presidio site where San Diego's European settlement was established and houses artifacts and exhibits on early San Diego history. Its hilltop location provides panoramic views over Old Town and Mission Bay.
