Bechtler Museum of Modern Art (Bechtler family collection)

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Uptown Charlotte houses the mid-20th-century modern art collection assembled and donated by the Bechtler family, led by Andreas Bechtler. The museum building was designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and opened in 2010. It is a permanent civic institution named for the Bechtler family to display their donated collection.
