St Ivo's College, Leuven

Saint Ivo's College, founded in 1483, was established to support poor law students at the Old University of Leuven. Founded by Robertus de Lacu, it was dedicated to Ivo of Kermartin, the patron saint of lawyers. The college played a significant role in law faculty activities until its closure in 1797. The original structure was rebuilt in 1775-76, but was later repurposed for various uses, including housing Leuven's commercial court and the Municipal Academy of Fine Arts. After suffering damage in World War I, it underwent renovations and is now part of M – Museum Leuven, recognized as built heritage since 2009, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in history and architecture.
