Henry Franklin Hendrix House

The Henry Franklin Hendrix House, also known as the Frank Hendrix House, was a historic residence in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, built in 1888 and remodeled in 1907 in the Classical Revival style. This two-story home featured a striking central portico with four colossal Ionic columns and was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Unfortunately, it was demolished in September 2016 to make way for a Taco Bell, sparking public outcry and highlighting the ongoing tension between historical preservation and modern development.
