Atlas Performing Arts Center (H Street NE)

The Atlas Theatre opened in 1938 as a neighborhood movie palace; after periods of decline it was restored and reopened as the Atlas Performing Arts Center in 2005. The center anchors the H Street NE arts corridor and provides multiple performance and rehearsal spaces for resident companies. It presents year-round theater, music, dance, and community programs serving the neighborhood and wider city.
