President's House, Trinidad and Tobago

The President's House is the official residence of the president of Trinidad and Tobago, situated in the capital city of Port of Spain, adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens. Originally built in 1876 to replace 'The Cottage,' which served as the governor's residence since 1867, the mansion features a striking local blue limestone facade and a roof made of Welsh Dutchess slate, showcasing Victorian architectural elements. After serving various roles, including a museum and art gallery, it became the residence of the president when Trinidad and Tobago became a republic in 1976. Today, it hosts national awards, swearing-in ceremonies, and diplomatic receptions, while the president's office is located in a separate building on the grounds.
