Ashbourne Town Hall

Ashbourne Town Hall, located in the Market Place of Ashbourne, Derbyshire, is a Grade II listed municipal building that serves as the meeting place for the Ashbourne Town Council. Originally built in 1861 in an Italianate style, the town hall was constructed on the site of the historic Talbot Inn, which dates back to the early 17th century and played a significant role in local history, including a visit from Charles Edward Stuart during the Jacobite rising. The building features an ornate façade with a clock and was initially intended as a market hall before being repurposed for events. It also houses a tourist information centre and underwent restoration in 2018, making it a notable attraction for visitors interested in local heritage and architecture.
