Sedalia station (Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad)

Sedalia station, also known as the Katy Depot, is a historic train station in Sedalia, Missouri, built in 1895 by the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad. Designed by architect Bradford Gilbert, this Romanesque Revival style building features red brick construction, a limestone foundation, and a distinctive two-story octagonal facade. Although it ceased passenger operations in 1958, the station now serves as the Sedalia welcome center and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in railroad history and architecture.
