Under (restaurant)

Under is a unique underwater restaurant located in Lindesnes, Norway, situated 5.5 meters below sea level. As the largest underwater dining venue in the world, it spans 495 square meters and accommodates 40 guests. Opened on March 20, 2019, it is the only underwater restaurant in Europe and the third globally. Designed by the renowned architecture firm Snøhetta, Under also serves as a marine research facility. The culinary offerings, led by Danish chef Nicolai Ellitsgaard, focus on the rich flavors of the southern Norwegian coast, featuring a tasting menu of 18 to 22 dishes. The restaurant quickly gained acclaim, earning a Michelin star within its first year.
