Anchor Terrace

Anchor Terrace is a historic Grade II listed building located in Southwark, London, built in 1834. Originally home to senior employees of the nearby Anchor Brewery, it later served as the brewery's offices. The building features a symmetrical design and retains the inscription 'Anchor Terrace' above its central entrance. Notably, it stands on the site of the original Globe Theatre, with remnants of its foundations discovered nearby. The building has been featured in the BBC series This Life and was converted into luxury flats in the late 1990s, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers interested in London's rich history.
