UNLV Special Collections & Archives

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Special Collections & Archives holds original maps, surveyor field notes, railroad and townsite plats, and related archival records documenting land surveys and the 1905 Las Vegas Townsite. Researchers use its collections to trace early cadastral boundaries, railroad survey alignments, and homestead filings in the Las Vegas Valley. Holdings include materials from local surveyors and copies of General Land Office plats relevant to Southern Nevada.
