Kenwyn House, Mahé

Kenwyn House is a historic colonial mansion located in Mahé, Seychelles, built in 1855. It was the residence of British Diplomat Sir James Henry Brooks until the late 19th century and later served the Eastern Telegraphic Company during the installation of undersea cables. The mansion, named after a Cornish village, showcases French Colonial architecture and is a key part of the island's Creole heritage. Declared a National Monument in 1984, it underwent renovation in 2018, enhancing its historical significance for tourists and researchers alike.
