Eisenhower Executive Office Building (former State, War, and Navy Building)

The Eisenhower Executive Office Building, completed in 1888 and located next to the White House, is a large French Second Empire–style federal building originally built as the State, War, and Navy Building. It has housed various executive branch offices and is notable for its ornate mansard roofs, dormer windows, and richly detailed stone and cast-iron ornamentation. The building is part of the White House complex and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
