Bell in Hand Tavern - America's oldest continuously operating tavern

The Bell in Hand Tavern, founded in 1795 by Boston town crier James 'Jimmy' McGann (commonly cited as McGarry), claims to be the oldest continuously operating tavern in the United States. It has operated near Faneuil Hall for much of its history and is associated with early American tavern culture. The tavern continues to operate as a bar and restaurant at its historic location.
