Chase Field (retractable-roof ballpark)

Chase Field opened in 1998 as the downtown home of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks. The stadium features a retractable roof to allow games during Phoenix's hot summers and includes a signature pool in a right-field suite area. The playing surface was natural grass until 2019, when it was replaced with synthetic turf to improve durability and event scheduling. The ballpark is a prominent example of a downtown, climate-adapted sports facility in Phoenix.
