Candlestick Park (former stadium)

Candlestick Park opened in 1960 on Candlestick Point and served as the home of the San Francisco Giants (1960–1999) and the San Francisco 49ers (1971–2013). The stadium was notorious for its windy, chilly conditions and hosted events including the Beatles' final commercial concert on August 29, 1966. Candlestick Park was demolished in 2015 after the teams relocated to new stadiums.
