Huddleston Farmhouse

The Huddleston Farmhouse Inn in Cambridge City, Indiana, is a historic inn that played a significant role in accommodating travelers along the National Road. Built by former-Quaker John Huddleston and his family, the three-story house features 125,000 bricks and sits on 78 acres, including a spring kitchen, smoke house, and barns. The inn provided lodging and amenities for weary travelers, with a unique layout that included guest rooms and a shop. Restored by Indiana Landmarks in 1966, it served as a museum and office until its sale in 2023, while being listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975, ensuring its architectural heritage is preserved.
