Salisbury Mansion and Store

The Salisbury Mansion and Store, located at 40 Highland Street in Worcester, Massachusetts, is a historic house museum that dates back to 1772. Originally built by Stephen Salisbury I, the mansion served as both a residence and a store selling imported goods. Over the years, it transitioned from a commercial space to a family home, a girls' school, and a social club before being saved from demolition in 1929. The building was relocated and restored to reflect its 1830 appearance, and it now operates as a museum offering guided tours, showcasing the rich history of the area and the legacy of the Salisbury family.
