Presidential Palace of Suriname

The Presidential Palace of Suriname, located in Paramaribo across from Independence Square, is a stunning example of Dutch colonial architecture and part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in 1730 and expanded over the years, it features a grand gallery, a portico, and a beautifully redeveloped garden known as the Garden of Palms. While it serves as the official residence of the President, it is primarily used for government and diplomatic events, symbolizing Suriname's independence since 1975.
