Brattle Hall

Brattle Hall is a historic building located along Brattle Street near Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1889 for the Cambridge Social Union, it originally served as a library and a venue for social gatherings. Designed by Longfellow, Alden & Harlow, the building showcases a blend of Dutch Colonial Revival and Colonial Revival architectural styles. Today, Brattle Hall remains a vibrant social center, housing the Brattle Theatre, a popular repertory movie house, a restaurant, and a coffee shop. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and is part of the Harvard Square Historic District.
