Veterans Memorial Coliseum

Veterans Memorial Coliseum, completed in 1960, is an intact example of mid-20th-century arena architecture and was designed as a multi-purpose indoor civic auditorium. Located in the Rose Quarter, the Coliseum has hosted sports, entertainment, and civic events for decades and is noted for its column-free interior and glass exterior curtain wall. It is widely recognized in Portland’s built-history and preservation discussions as a significant modernist landmark.
