Slim's long-running live-music club

Slim's opened in 1988 at 1530 Post Street and served as an influential San Francisco venue for blues, rock, hip-hop, and independent music for decades. The club hosted nationally and locally known artists across genres and was a notable part of the city's club circuit until it closed in 2020. Slim's is regularly mentioned in accounts of late-20th- and early-21st-century live music in San Francisco.
