Shangri-La (house)

Shangri-La is a stunning Streamline Moderne mansion located in Denver, Colorado, inspired by the fictional monastery from the 1937 film Lost Horizon. Commissioned by movie theater magnate Harry E. Huffman and designed by architect Raymond Harry Ervin, this architectural gem was completed in 1938 and features a striking white façade with silver accents and an Art Deco entrance. The mansion boasts 13 rooms across 8,000 square feet and has been recognized as one of Denver's finest buildings. Over the years, it has hosted numerous gala events and prominent guests. Today, it remains a remarkable example of early 20th-century design, set on a 5-acre property that has evolved into an upscale neighborhood.
