U.S. National Whitewater Center

Opened in 2006, the U.S. National Whitewater Center is an outdoor recreation and conservation center in Charlotte that features an artificially generated whitewater river used for rafting and kayaking as well as extensive trail networks. The facility also offers zip lines, rock climbing, paddleboarding, and mountain biking, and provides guided trips and instructional programming. It hosts seasonal outdoor concerts, festivals, and competitive paddling events that attract regional visitors.
