Oddfellows Hall (Fairbanks, Alaska)

Oddfellows Hall, located at 825 1st Avenue in Fairbanks, Alaska, is a historic building originally constructed in 1907 by a fortune teller named Madame Renio. Initially serving as a clinic and bathhouse, it was later acquired by the International Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), which transformed it into a community hub for various civic and religious organizations. The hall features a unique two-section wood-frame design and has been a significant part of local history, being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. After years of use by the IOOF and its sister organization, the Golden North Rebekahs, the building is now home to a retail establishment, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring Fairbanks' rich cultural heritage.
