JEA Tower

JEA Tower, a prominent skyscraper in Jacksonville, Florida, stands at 268 feet tall and was originally known as the Universal-Marion Building when it opened in 1963. Designed by architect Morris Ketchum Jr. in the Mid-century modern style, it features a unique revolving restaurant on its 18th floor, offering panoramic views of the city. The building served as the headquarters for the Universal-Marion Company, which was involved in media and film production, including co-financing the Oscar-winning movie 'The Producers.' In 1988, JEA acquired the building and renamed it JEA Tower, using it as their corporate office until 2023. As of 2025, plans are underway to redevelop the site into a mixed-use project, preserving its historical significance while revitalizing the downtown area.
