Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve

Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve contains several thousand petroglyphs created by Hohokam, Patayan, and Prescott cultures and is managed by the City of Phoenix. The site includes an interpretive center and guided trail that present archaeological interpretations and discuss Indigenous motifs depicted in the rock art. Local oral traditions and museum materials reference some petroglyphs in the context of regional Indigenous stories, while scholarly interpretations vary.
