Pettit's Ford

Pettit's Ford is a historic home located in Dover Township, York County, Pennsylvania, built in 1798. This Georgian-style house, made of red sandstone, features a rectangular design measuring 22 by 50 feet and is notable for its five bays. The property also includes a small stable/carriage house from around 1902 and a former summer kitchen dating back to 1878. Recognized for its historical significance, Pettit's Ford was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and is situated at a former ford across the picturesque Conewago Creek.
