Wagner-Mozart Music Hall

The Wagner-Mozart Music Hall, built in 1936 in Mason City, Iowa, was a pioneering structure designed specifically for school music programs. This historic building, crafted from local materials by Works Progress Administration workers, featured dedicated rehearsal spaces for instrumental music, a large band and orchestra room, and served as a venue for community events. Notably, it had two distinct entrances labeled 'Wagner' and 'Mozart,' leading to different areas of the building. Recognized for its significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 before being demolished.
