Bartlett-Cushman House

The Bartlett-Cushman House, located at 82 Portsmouth Road in Stratham, New Hampshire, is a historic Federal-style house built around 1810. This 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure features elegant architectural details, including a prominent entrance with sidelight windows and a fanlight. Originally constructed for Josiah Bartlett III, a local physician, the house showcases early construction techniques and fine Federal-style decorations. It remained in the Bartlett family until 1904, later becoming a duplex under the Cushman family. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and local history.
