Dubuque Casket Company

The Dubuque Casket Company, a historic site in Dubuque, Iowa, was a significant player in the casket manufacturing industry from 1877 until 1988. Originally established in 1893 after a fire destroyed its predecessor, the company operated from a large Neoclassical building that housed various manufacturing processes across its four floors. The site reflects Dubuque's prominence in the casket market during the late 19th century. After ceasing operations, the building was repurposed into apartments and recognized for its historical significance, being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
