Riseholme Hall

Riseholme Hall is an early 18th-century country house located in Lincolnshire, England, designed by architect William Railton. This grade II listed building served as the official residence for the Bishop of Lincoln from 1840 to 1887 before becoming privately owned. After World War II, it was utilized by the Lindsey College of Agriculture, now known as Riseholme College, which is part of Bishop Burton College. Since 1994, the hall and its grounds have been owned by the University of Lincoln. Notably, Riseholme Hall is the birthplace of the renowned English travel writer and explorer, Rosita Forbes.
