Ed Sullivan Theater

The Ed Sullivan Theater at 1697 Broadway was home to CBS Studio 50 and the broadcast home of The Ed Sullivan Show (originally Toast of the Town) from 1948 to 1971. The theatre is the site of historically significant television performances, including the Beatles' first live U.S. television appearance on February 9, 1964. The building has been preserved and continues to function as a television studio and performance venue.
