Multnomah County Central Library

The Central Library is the main branch of the Multnomah County Library system and was designed by architect A.E. Doyle; its current building opened in 1913. The library is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contains significant architectural features, public exhibition space, and a large circulating collection. It functions as a major cultural and educational hub in downtown Portland, hosting lectures, public programs, and community services.
