Tongxiao Shrine

The Tongxiao Shrine, located in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan, is a historical shrine originally built in 1937 during Japanese rule. It was later renovated in 1947 to honor the fallen Republic of China Armed Forces from World War II. The shrine suffered damage from the 1999 Jiji earthquake but was restored and designated as a historical monument in 2002. Today, it serves as a Martyr's Shrine, commemorating Koxinga. Visitors can easily access the shrine within walking distance from Tongxiao Station, making it a significant cultural and historical site for tourists and researchers alike.
