Assassination of President John F. Kennedy (Dealey Plaza / Texas School Book Depository)

President John F. Kennedy was fatally shot on November 22, 1963, as his motorcade passed through Dealey Plaza; witnesses and subsequent investigations tied the shots to the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. The Sixth Floor Museum now occupies that space and interprets the events surrounding the assassination. The Warren Commission concluded Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots that killed Kennedy; that conclusion has been disputed by other researchers and investigations.
