Orton Hall (Ohio State University)

Orton Hall on the Ohio State University campus was completed in 1893 in a Romanesque Revival style and was designed by architect Joseph W. Yost. It houses the Orton Geological Museum, containing the university's geological and paleontological collections and fossil displays. The building was named for Edward Orton Sr., Ohio State's first president and the state's first geologist, and was constructed of Berea sandstone.
