Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market

Faneuil Hall, built in 1742, has served as a marketplace and meeting hall and was a notable site for public speeches and political activity during the colonial and early American periods. Quincy Market, constructed in 1826–1827 next to Faneuil Hall, provided a centralized market hall for vendors and is a historic example of early-19th-century commercial architecture. Together they form a long-standing commercial and civic complex that remains a focal point of Boston's marketplace neighborhood.
