Philadelphia City Hall and William Penn statue

Philadelphia City Hall, completed in 1901, is a Second Empire–style masonry building that serves as the seat of municipal government. It is topped by a 37-foot bronze statue of William Penn sculpted by Alexander Milne Calder. The building includes a tower observation deck that has been open for guided tours offering views of the city. The tower reaches approximately 548 feet to the top of the statue.
