Space Needle (Lower Queen Anne/Uptown icon)

Built for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World's Fair), the Space Needle rises to 605 feet and features an observation deck and rotating restaurant. It has served as a visual symbol of Seattle and the Uptown/Lower Queen Anne neighborhood since its opening. Major renovations, including the addition of glass floors and floor-to-ceiling windows, were completed in 2018 to modernize the observation experience.
