Great Trinity Forest and stormwater corridor

The Great Trinity Forest and Trinity River Corridor collect stormwater runoff from large portions of Dallas through storm sewers, drainage channels, and overland flow into the river floodplain. The Trinity River Audubon Center sits within the forest adjacent to restored wetlands and habitat projects that also function to slow and treat urban stormwater before it reaches the main river channel. The area is a focus of restoration and stormwater-management planning for the city and regional partners.
