Norske Løve, Køge

Norske Løve is a historic former mail and coaching inn located in Køge, Denmark, named after a naval ship from the Battle of Køge Bay in 1677. Originally built in the 17th century, it evolved into a popular excursion destination with a large garden and entertainment facilities. The current main wing dates back to between 1801 and 1811. Notably, Hans Christian Andersen once stayed here and engraved an inscription in a window pane, which adds a literary charm to the site. Today, it serves as a reminder of Køge's rich history and is a point of interest for visitors exploring the town's heritage.
