Former Saint Joseph's Institution

The former Saint Joseph's Institution is a historic building located on Bras Basah Road in Singapore, originally established as a Catholic boys' school in 1867. Designed by Brother Lothaire, a 19th-century French priest-architect, the building features a blend of Baroque and classical architectural elements, including a central block with semi-circular wings added in the early 1900s. After the school relocated in 1988, the building was restored and now serves as the Singapore Art Museum, making it a significant cultural site for both tourists and researchers interested in Singapore's educational and architectural history.
