Cliff House terraces (ocean views and Seal Rocks)

The Cliff House site has hosted successive restaurants and visitor terraces overlooking Seal Rocks and the Pacific Ocean since the mid-19th century. The seaside terraces, historic dining rooms, and coastal views have made the location a frequent subject of widely shared photographs and travel features. The site and nearby Sutro Baths ruins together form a popular photographic stretch of the Lands End coastline.
