Västervik Airport

Västervik Airport, located about 7 km northwest of Västervik in Kalmar County, Sweden, is a small airport owned by the local municipality. It features a 1,199-meter asphalt runway equipped with lighting and offers aviation fuel sales. The airport has a rich history, having provided scheduled air services from 1971 to 1986, connecting Västervik with major airports in Stockholm. In 2017, the runway was extended to accommodate larger aircraft, although regulatory challenges have hindered its full operational potential. The airport is currently managed by Urban Wahlberg, who aims to maintain its operations and explore future opportunities.
