Kringelborg

Kringelborg is a historic late 18th-century farmhouse located on the northern outskirts of Nykøbing in southeastern Denmark. Originally known as Klingborg in 1483, it has a rich history tied to the establishment of local institutions such as the House of the Holy Ghost and Nykøbing Hospital. The current structure, built in 1790, features distinctive half-timbered architecture with a black-painted plinth and a red-painted Empire-style door. Listed as a protected building since 1959, Kringelborg now serves as the headquarters for the local chapter of Hjemmeværnet, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in Danish history and architecture.
