United States Institute of Peace (peacebuilding missions)

The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) is an independent federal institution established by Congress that is headquartered at this Washington location. USIP conducts research, training, and mediation support for conflict prevention and peacebuilding missions worldwide and provides expertise to U.S. government and international partners. The institute also publishes reports and hosts programs that inform and support diplomatic and field missions focused on preventing or resolving violent conflict.
