Huddleston Farmhouse

The Huddleston Farmhouse Inn, located in Cambridge City, Indiana, is a historic inn that once provided lodging for travelers on the National Road. Built by former-Quaker John Huddleston and his family, the three-story house features 125,000 bricks and sits on 78 acres, including a spring kitchen, smoke house, and barns. The inn has a rich history, with its basement once serving as guest lodging and a shop for travelers. Restored by Indiana Landmarks in 1966, it operated as a museum until its sale in 2023, while retaining protective covenants to preserve its architectural integrity. The farmhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in Indiana's history.
