Kerelaw House

Kerelaw House, located in Stevenston, Ayrshire, Scotland, was constructed in 1787 in the neo-Palladian style by Lieut.-Col. Alexander Hamilton. The estate changed hands several times, notably acquired by the Fullarton family, who were linked to the ancient lineage of the Fullartons of Kirkmichael. The house served various purposes over the years, including as offices for the Kerelaw Residential School established in 1970, but was ultimately demolished. Visitors can still find remnants of the long driveway leading to the house, which once featured a striking Doric entrance porch and a distinctive architectural style. The estate also included other notable properties like Mayville House and Hullerhirst House, adding to its historical significance.
